Girl's Day Out
My latest scrapbook pages...it is from an outing with Mom and Vicki during my Spring Break. I made it last night. (What do you think, Amanda? Did I incorporate the purple in nicely??). I got to use the cool circle MOD paper that I got a long time ago!...and some of the new stuff I got from the Jenni Bowlin June kit!! :) I loved all of the stuff in the kit! It was so fun making these pages!

Hanging out with Mom & Vicki...
What a blessing they are to me! I love that we have the opportunity to spend time together. On this particular day, I was on Spring Break and Mom and Vicki were able to take some time off. We went shopping at Goodys and laughed so hard that mom was crying.
We went to Cotton Patch Cafe for lunch (in the mall)...we ate the best
rolls in the world and had some good conversation.
Since mom had never been to Starbucks before we decided to make a trip to introduce mom to the Starbucks experience. Mom ordered a cappucino and when she got it, it was so bitter she couldn't drink it. We added some sugar but it didn't help. Finally, we asked the Barista and she suggested adding vanilla. It did the trick. Mom was pleased with her first trip to Starbucks. I'm not sure when we will get her to go there again...she doesn't like to cross 31st Street to get there because of all the traffic. When I told people that she had never been to Starbucks before, no one believed me! It is 2006 and mom had never been to Starbucks! Crazy! Insane! But now she can say she has been there. :) I got a Java Chip Frap and Vicki got a Strawberries and Cream Frap. To top it all off, they even spelled our names right on our cups! :) That doesn't happen very often. I was really excited about the picture of mom and Vicki. It is super cute!
I am so very blessed to have the free time to spend making memories and bonding. It reminds me so much of shopping trips as a kid...spending time together, chatting, laughing, just being happy to spend time with each other. Now it means even more to me since we don't get the chance to go out very often.
Vicki decided to put a cowboy hat on while we were in Goodys...I couldn't believe she actually posed for the picture! What a good sis she is!
All in all, it was an awesome day full of laughter and smiles. I hope we have tons more of them throughout the years!
There is nothing better than a girl's day out! :)
