12 Week Old Luke

Luke is pretty close to being able to sit up on his own...I'd give him a month or so maybe? He has already been sitting in his Bumbo (thanks Mel, Riss, John & Paula!). It's kinda crazy to see him sitting in it without me holding on to him!

He loves to sleep and generally sleeps 7 or 8 hours straight. :) He likes to wake up around 6:00 am even though he is not hungry. I often wonder why he gets up and is fussy (even after I change his diaper). He usually goes back to sleep after a little while. He loves sleeping in his Granny's (Linda's) arms. She lulls him right to sleep.

He loves the John Deere clock at Grandma & Grandpa's house in the corn. When he gets upset we just walk him over to the clock and he is a happy boy.

I weighed him yesterday and it said he weighs 12 pounds 6 ounces. He is a growing boy; that is for sure! It is not uncommon for him to knock out over maybe 6 or 7 ounces in a feeding (it is hard to tell exactly what I am feeding him since I am breastfeeding him). It seems like he is hungry a lot!

He is still a really happy boy and gives us a lot of smiles! :)

Luke gained a new cousin this week! He is not sure what to think about James. They are 5 days short of three months apart. :)

He loves peek-a-boo and he will stop fussing and smile when we play with him!

He has a clogged tear duct in his left eye again (when he was little little he had them in both eyes).

He still loves to be cuddled up in his wrap and sling. A lifesaver in the grocery s
tore when he cries!!

He has really been starting to play with his toys...crinkling them and making them rattle. So fun to see him play all by himself!

He really loves to be read to. Sometimes he will stop eating (stop eating, people! He loves to eat!) so that he can see the pages in the stories that we read to him! So cute! :) He especially loves to watch the cover of this book he got from his grandma. It lights up and plays music! It mezmerizes him! :)

I don't remember ever seeing this entry. Did you start it awhile back and finish it later?
