Locks of Love #3

God is so good that he allows my hair to grow really quickly...and as long as he does that I will continue to harvest my hair for people who really need it! So we decided that it was that time again!

Though I love my hair long it was overdue for a cut...plus, it always had two little hands grabbing at each side and it took forever to dry!

So Vicki, Luke, and I headed to the Salons at Tuscan Square on Saturday, July 19th. We figured it was a good time to chop it right before vacation and during the heat of summer.

This is the third time that Linda has cut my hair for Locks of Love (once in high school and once in college) and she always does a really great job of styling what little hair is left. I told her that I did not want to look like a boy and that I really wanted to be able to put it up in a ponytail (since it needs to be out of the way or Luke will grab and pull it all day!) so she made sure that she kept some length in the front.

I didn't cry at all (I cried the first time I did it, lol) and neither did Luke! He actually slept through almost the whole appointment! Vicki did a fabulous job of photo documenting the event (thanks, Vick!).
I can put the sides up and I love how quickly it dries these days! I am not one for taking a lot of time out of my day to style my hair (nor do I really know how to do it). I just put some gel in it and hope that it falls nicely. My hair does not do much with gel...it is more straight-as-a-board so cutting it kinda crazy makes me look a little funny.
Linda is so sweet...she did the hair cut for free! And when I asked her about what kind of hair clips she uses (because I can't seem to find one that will work with my hair) she was so nice that she gave me one of hers!! Talk about a fantastic lady! :) She even provided the ponytail holder and a bag for my hair (last time I chopped my hair Vick and I went on a wild goosechase all over JCPenney trying to get a bag to put the ponytail in...they wouldn't give us one if we didn't make a purchase!)! So everyone should go see Linda Murphy; she's the best! :)

All in all, it was another successful hair chop!

BVOTD: "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God." Romans 5:1-2
