IT'S A BOY!!!! :)
Brad and I headed to Austin yesterday morning to get a 2D ultrasound.
We have a healthy and happy BABY BOY dancing around in my belly. He weighs about a soda can (13 ounces) and is very active. At one point I thought she was moving the machine around but she said she was completely still and he was just bouncing around. (That explains why I have been feeling him move around so much the last few days!)
He has two hands and two feet and a bunch of toes and fingers...we could actually see all the little bones in his fingers and toes (or at least almost all of them...hard to tell since he moved around a lot!). We could even see the chambers of his heart!
The sonographer said he is right on for 19 weeks and looks healthy.
His heart rate was 150...a bit on the high side...I am afraid the boy is taking after me on that...I really want him to be really laidback and easygoing like Brad...I can't take another me at home! lol
We went home with four pictures and some VHS footage of our boy. :)
So needless to say we could not be happier!! Feels so much more real now that we know! We can start thinking about the nursery and registering and focusing on boy names! :)
We headed to a snowcone place to celebrate but when they weren't open we went to the Outlet Mall and shared some Starbucks tea (it was decaf, don't worry! :).
God is so good!!!

Let's recap our phone conversation:
Vicki: Hey.
Lacey: So ... whadya think?
Vicki: I think what I've been thinking ... it's a boy.
Lacey: W-e-l-l ......... you're right. It's a boy!
Vicki: Woohoo!!!!!
Fantastic! That is great, Lacey! We are very happy for you. Blake is happy, too, because now he knows there will be someone out there he can play with. :-)
Lacey ~ God is so Wonderful, he gave us three beautiful girls and he's giving you a handsome boy to run after. You are young and full of energy to do a Great job of taking care of a B O Y. We are so EXCITED and can hardly wait to have that beautiful baby in our arms. Take Care of yourself and get as much rest as you can before the joyous event. You will never be the same again. The first look into your baby's eyes and you will be changed forever. It's nothing like it!!! You and Brad will make terrific parents.
I'm still a little shocked that we can't go with "Sienna", but I'm getting over that now.
You have to bring over the baby book soon so I can pick out the boy's name. I'm sure you'll love it. :oP
If you're nice, I might even pick out 2 names so that you have a choice. hehehe...
Can't we get a picture of some baby belly or something around here??!!!
