Just Checking In...

to say that I am alive and I believe I will survive finals. The last three days have been crazy with two big group papers being due, the CBS Christmas party on Monday night (that was fabulously fun - I will try to post pics that MAM took soon!), and my Human Resources final tonight. I have been typing for most of the day and, in general, am sick of school right now. Can't wait till next December when I can totally enjoy the season without having to worry about papers, presentations, tests, and finals!!!

I did get a nice break today when I went to eat lunch with Mary Anna and Dayna...it just feels so good to laugh so hard (especially when MAM was backing out of her parking spot, noticed that a woman was backing out right behind her, exclaimed "UH OH! UH OH!", and then proceeded to honk the horn like crazy! Apparently her horn is not very loud and the woman did not hear it...she backed up and hit MAM's car. There weren't any marks on either vehicle though. We laughed about it most of the way back to school!!). Those girls are so much fun! Thank the Lord for good friends!! :)

Many of you will be shocked to hear this...but my tree is not even decorated yet! ::GASP:: Of course I kept the tree up all year and then when it is finally Christmastime, the tree base breaks! Brad got me a broken umbrella base (one of the perks of working at a patio store!) to fix the problem. I didn't want to decorate the poor tree while it was leaning against the wall for stability. I have big plans to decorate it soon, though...can't wait! :)

Hope you are enjoying this wonderful season. I know I will definitely be enjoying it more after next Tuesday (my last presentation!).

Side note: A couple of weeks ago, Brad brought up the idea of posting a Bible verse on my blog...I really liked that idea so here is the Bible verse of the day (which may actually have to cover a few days depending on when I post again!)

BVOTD: "And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are all called to live in peace. And always be thankful." Colossians 3:15 NLT

I put my tree up first! :Þ

So, rumor has it that tomorrow will be performance review time (otherwise known as our ... "appraisal"). Should make for a very interesting day!

BTW ... I relayed to Dolores the story about you letting the cat out of the bag. She laughed and said you must have been spending too much time around her lately. I think she's proud of you.

How did the novel (AKA 27 page research paper) go? When are you done with finals? (My memory just ain't what it used to be.)

My tree has been up all year, duh! How could your tree be put up first?! Decorated, yes. Put up, no.

Congrats on the appraisal...hope all goes well.

You are really the one who let the cat out of the bag...mom didn't even notice!!! lol!

I think the paper is okay. We will see though. They didn't copy the stuff that I typed correctly. She used the old reference page and the wrong title page. I have no clue how he will grade it!

I only have one presentation left...on Monday. Then I am done!!!! :)

My presentaton today went really well...we got full credit and she said we did an excellent job of presenting and that we set the mark for the class. YAY! (I messed up a bit on my part though!)

Okay, you have a valid point ... but I most definitely decorated my tree first! Bummer about Santa/Franchione though. :(

Not so much excited about the upcoming appraisal. I am praying that God will help me keep my mouth shut until the time is right. Really not looking forward to the next several weeks.

In other news ... if Amy and Will don't make it down this weekend, I was thinking we could go check out BLORA with them next weekend. Whaddya think?
