The Update
*Got to go to the release party of Concept7's first album "Rhymetiquette" this weekend. SO TOTALLY AWESOME!!! :) I know 3 of the 6 band members from CBS. I am just so amazed by their talent and how much fun they have with what they do!!
I am listening to the breakdancer himself, Isaiah, right now. He totally rocks. He leads our
worship time at CBS and I am just so proud to know him. The CBSers look up to him...and his little brother is his biggest fan (see picture on the right)! (How cute is that picture?!)
I am so excited for David (bleached hair) and Breann who are expecting their first baby in five months. They are really happy. Glad I know them!
I also know Marcos from CBS. I don't know him as well as the other two but I know that he has a passion for the Lord...and for telling others about God!
The whole party was so much fun...and as Vicki says,
*Totally looking forward to CKU...I just found out today that I get to go in September!! (For those of you who are non-scrappers...CKU stands for Creating Keepsakes University. CK is a big scrapping magazine and they have weekend-long retreat-type deals where a lot of the fancy scrapbookers teach classes.) I have never been before and it hasn't come to Texas in three years so I was really hoping I could go this time! It will be such an awesome experience! And I get to go with Julie!!! SO MUCH FUN!!! :) I am working on picking out my classes tonight.
*Ran on Sunday with Dayna Marie and I am sore...very pathetic, I know! I'm not sure why I am still so sore!!
*Looking forward to the Corn Fest on Saturday...I can taste the corn on the cob now :) YUM! Amanda, are you in?!?! Perez and Vicki are in!!
*Preparing for Camp Crestview next week! (Camp Crestview is a big shebang! M-F 8:00-5:00 camp. We decorate the church building and have over 800 kids signed up!!!!) I have 13 5th graders in my group (I have a co-leader too!). I wrote them each a note and mailed them out today. I love Camp...it is such an awesome experience. Getting out of my comfort zone...there are so many times when I want to give up, take a break, lack enthusiasm. I know I can't do it on my own. He is always there to give me that extra push. I love Camp Crestview!!!! The first week of camp (for the smaller kiddos) is going on right now. Please pray for the workers and the kiddos attending camp this week and next week!!
*I am sleepy so I am gonna head to bed...more to come soon. Peace out.

It's like watching Pee-wee Herman."I am not so good at rapping (okay, I stink at it) but I don't think I embarrassed MAM and Brad too much...they continued to stand/sit near me throughout the evening :) But boy was it a fun evening!!! (I have more pics to share but they won't upload for some reason!)

Lace! The way you have grown in the Lord in the past several years is amazing. I love to read about your genuine excitement for the Lord and serving Him. It's so encouraging. I hope preparations for camp crestview go well, and I'm glad you get to go take the scrap book classes soon. (although you're so good at it, I don't know why you need to take classes! you should be teaching them!)
